Five Borough Green Roof Tour

Green roofs have been growing in popularity over the last several years, but figuring out the right system for your building can be a challenge. Join us for a tour of NYC Parks' unique rooftop laboratory, which comprises over 30 different systems and over 30,000 square feet, to examine the strengths and weaknesses of different systems.

Unlike any other in the country, the Five Borough Green Roof serves as an experimental station that compares intensive, extensive, modular, monolithic, agricultural, vertical and hydroponic systems side-by-side and in various stages of growth.
